Appointment Reminders by SMS/Text
Note: These are sent through our Electronic Health Records system, not from our phone system.

Consent Requirement: Patients/clients must consent to receive SMS (text) reminders through our patient portal. This can be done through your "My Account" page or by verbally confirming (if you make your appointment by phone) that you would like to receive SMS (text) reminders. These reminder texts will NOT come from our business number, but from a number assigned by our Electronic Health Records provider. We cannot receive texts from this number.

If you change your mind and would like to opt-in/out of these appointment reminder texts, you can easily do so through your "My Account" page (example below) in your online portal or simply call us.

All other SMS (text) messaging:
At this time, we do NOT have a way of sending/receiving SMS (text) messages from our business number. We are in the process of changing to a new phone system (late January 2025) which will allow SMS/text. Our SMS/text policy is as follows:

We will only answer patient/client texts originated by the patient/client themselves or, given prior verbal or written permission, we may text patients regarding their appointments. ​For example, if you are on our waiting list for an earlier appointment and we have a cancellation, we may text you to let you know of the new availability or we may text to inform a patient about an office closing due to inclement weather (i.e. ice on the roads).

Our patients/clients will NEVER receive "marketing" texts from us.

Like all modern clinics, we collect a full array of demographic information from our patients including name, date of birth, address, phone number, etc.

We collect this information through our electronic health records system and by phone.

The purpose of collecting this information is for medical records and, where applicable, for insurance billing (Medicare only).

This information is stored, maintained, and protected by two-factor authentication via our online electronic health records system.

We do NOT share this information with third parties for promotional purposes. The only time your information is shared is with your written and/or verbal approval and only for the purposes of continuance of your care.

You may correct, verify, change, or remove pertinent personal information though our online portal and/or by phone or in person.

HIPAA Privacy Policy
Solutions Alternative Healthcare, LLC may use and/or disclose information about its patients (or someone else for whom they have the legal authority to sign) that is protected under federal privacy law for the sole purpose of treatment, payment, and health care operations. The Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time, and anyone may obtain a copy of the current policy without charge, simply by asking for one.
• Patients (or their guardians) have the right to request restriction (in writing) on how their information is used and/or disclosed in order to execute treatment, payment, or healthcare operations. Solutions Alternative Healthcare is bound to honor and abide by any such restrictions to which it has agreed.

• Patients (or their guardians) have the right to revoke this consent (in writing). Revocations will be honored from the time written and delivered to the Solutions Alternative Healthcare office, but revocation can’t affect any action already taken in reliance upon the consent given.

• Patients (or their guardians) realize that their personal information that is protected by federal privacy law may be used and/or disclosed with my consent, and that the information may be subject to re-disclosure by the recipient. The re-disclosure by said recipient may not be protected by federal privacy law.
